IN REGARDS TO THE POTENTIAL TARIFFS

Hey all, Bryce here. This is a quick one.

As with the last time we went through this situation in 2025, I wanted to let our buyers and Kickstarter Backers who are still awaiting their products know that Wraithmarked Creative will not be instituting any additional fees to cover potential tariff costs. 

At this time, it's unclear if there will be new global tariffs, much less what they'll be if they come into being. Regardless, in the event that they happen, please rest assured there will be no surprise fees put in place to cover those costs if you have already purchased a book from Wraithmarked Creative or are awaiting a product from one of our campaigns. We'll manage the additional cost one way or the other.

Here's to hoping these tariffs don't come to fruition, period.

Remaining Surveys Going Out!

Hey there, folks!

Since the smoke test was a success, we'll be sending out ALL remaining surveys today! It may take a little bit for Backerkit to process them, maybe even a few days, so we appreciate your patience!

Just to reiterate a couple of the tips from our last update, if you DO NOT see your invite email show up by the end of next week, please take a look at the following:

• Spam Folder: Survey emails can occasionally find their way to your spam folder. If you don't see anything come through from Backerkit check your spam folder first.
• Apple ID Email Addresses: If the email address tied to your Kickstarter account is a secure Apple ID address, the survey email may be blocked entirely. The email addresses look something like this:  "[email protected]".  If you're not seeing the email from Backerkit, check to see if your email address looks like one of these. If it does, we recommend that you first change that email in Kickstarter so you avoid any future issues.
• Once you've checked both of those things send us a message here or send an email to [email protected] to let us know what your updated email address is.

If you are a Late-Pledge backer (if you choose to back this campaign after the funding period comes to an end), you will not receive a survey as all necessary information we need is collected upon check-out!

Going Forward

Here is what you can expect in the coming months as we work on fulfilling this project.

• First, please remember that we operate on a 12-14 month production and fulfillment schedule.
• As we get all of the products made, you can expect to see an update from us one to two times a month. So stay tuned here for all the latest!
• Once we have the products and are ready to start fulfillment, we will post an update and send an email giving everyone 48 hours to update their addresses if needed. Once that window closes, you will not be able to update your address yourself and will need to contact us directly to make those changes.
• With addresses locked, we will start packing and shipping. This final step will take some time. We appreciate your patience. ❤️

Pledge Over Time - 3rd Payment

Final Pledge Over Time Payment!

We wanted to check in real quick to let all the Pledge Over Time folks that they should be expecting to see the third (and final!) charge for their pledge today or in the next few days.

Please be aware that the times mentioned above are estimates. We try to stick to them as much as possible, but sometimes it takes an extra day or two to move on to the next phase of the process.

Preparing to send out Surveys...

Also, we're just about ready to start sending out surveys, but the last piece of that process is what's called a smoke test. To do this, we send out surveys to about 5% of backers to make sure everything in Backerkit is working as it should and that we haven't broken anything. We'll be conducting this test over the weekend, so those 5% of surveys will go out this Friday. If everything goes well, you can expect the rest of the surveys to go out by Monday or Tuesday at the latest!

While we do that, here are a couple of things to keep in mind:

To expedite the process, please provide us with your name, backer number, or the AppleID email address so we can locate your account!
• If you send us a message on Kickstarter, we may request that you send the message to our support email instead. Thank you.

There are 1-2 of us who monitor support emails. We'll introduce ourselves in a future update, but for the moment, we want to fill y'all in on our availability.

MOVING FORWARD...

• First, Kickstarter will begin processing payments for your pledges. That will take approximately 2 weeks. If you did not use Pledge Over Time, this will be the full amount of your pledge. If you opted to use Pledge Over Time, this will be the first 1/3rd of your total pledge.
• If you selected Pledge Over Time, your second payment will be on or around December 28th, followed by your third and final payment on or around January 28th. 
• Once the final payment has been made for Pay Over Time backers, we will send out all surveys to the email addresses you have attached to your Kickstarter account. We expect this to occur by or around January 28th.
• Answer your survey questions and grab any extra Add-Ons you want. For those of you asking how to make your tier selections, you'll do that here. Due to the shipping beta test, shipping will be charged at this time.
• As we get all of the products made, you can expect to see an update from us 1-2 times a month. So stay tuned here for all the latest!

TO REITERATE THE SHIPPING BETA TEST...

In case you missed it on the campaign page, we are beta testing something new for this project (and likely for the rest of 2025)!

We've gotten a range of feedback over the last year about how to make our books more accessible to everyone, and one of the most common places we hear we could make a simple change is by charging shipping later so that it's an additional opportunity to split the product costs.

For this project, all shipping and handling fees will be processed on BackerKit when backer surveys are sent out (about 2.5 months after the campaign ends), rather than here on the campaign when you make your pledge.

THIS WILL NOT CHANGE THE SHIPPING COST. We have outlined what every item's shipping will be post-campaign below so you can account for it immediately!

PLEASE NOTE: In order to keep shipping costs as low as possible—given that this product is $25 USD at base—Volume Zero will be shipped in basic padded mailers instead of Wraithmarked's usual illustrated boxes.
